Even though it’s always hectic on the farm, a yummy dinner is always important & not just on a Sunday.
Here is one of my favorite meals & really isn’t too labor intensive. Typically I season the meat & chop all veggies up in the morning & put in the fridge so it’s all ready to go. The lettuce is from the garden so it was already washed & in the fridge. We made bacon the day before so that was already chopped up with the lettuce. The dressing for the wilted lettuce was 2 onions from the garden, diced & sautéed with bacon fat 😀 & 1 cup ACV with 1 cup water.
Sunday morning, I seasoned the steaks with Cavendar, Fresh Parsley, Fresh Onion, Season Salt & Pepper. I placed on a cookie sheet in the fridge & left it there all day. Next I cut up the asparagus & carrots & put in baggies in fridge with the meat.
To make the carrots I cooked them with butter & sliced onions on 375• until almost soft. I took them out and drizzled with: honey, balsamic, salt & pepper, & a spoonful of brown sugar. Stuck them back in the oven on broil for a few minutes & that’s it!
& to top it off, a little homemade strawberry ice cream ❤️
